Once again on UStream.

Welcome everyone to this episode of The Chill Mode. It was my girlfriend's birthday and I decided to get her a Logitech Squeezebox Radio, which is the little brother of the Logitech Squeezebox Boom. It's a great media device and she is really enjoying it. Also Nintendo made the announcement that they will be releasing the Nintendo DSi XL which has a bigger screen and other great features. The software tip for this episode is from the giant company Google. Awhile back they released a great piece of photo editing and organizing software called Picasa. It's fantastic and I'm sure you'll like it too. Drop me a line at thechillmode@gmail.com or leave me a voice mail at (917) 267-8611.
Ustream Live Broadcast!

Hey, we went with a live Ustream broadcast of this podcast to see what would happen. Check out the stream at The Chill Mode page. I have to start recording as I broadcast so I can archive the shows. I got my hands on the Western Digital WD Live TV. This little box is a great addition to my entertainment network. Also Google has thrown their hat into the social networking ring with their introduction of Google Buzz. This episode's software tip/website is Blip.fm.
Back from the holidays and fat!

Welcome back to The Chill Mode and another tech filled year. Today I check out the PowerMat which I received as a gift from my lovely girlfriend Melissa. I love this device, it's a new way of charging your gadgets. I also talk about AMD and their upcoming new technology called "Fusion". Basically they are merging the CPU and GPU onto one chip. Should be very cool when it finally comes out. This episode's website pick is LaLa.com fantastic music, great social networking integration and Apple bought them.
Short show, take in the knowledge.

I updated 2 of my favorite devices, the Amazon Kindle 2 and my Roku Netflix player. Both devices updated nicely and I was really impressed with the Roku Channel Store that offers up some great content. The cable operators are in the corner urinating on themselves because this looks like the beginning of the end for them. I'm thinking about a shorter show format. What's your thoughts on this?
All by myself.....

Yup, I'm solo on this episode so let's get to it. Microsoft releases a new anti-virus/malware program that is pretty basic but pretty cool and it works. They are calling it Microsoft Security Essentials. Also the good folks at Ars Technica have a great story about syncing your cell phone information to the cloud using 4 different services. One of them is being brought to you by Best Buy Mobile, it's called mIQ and it will be officially released to the world on October 12. This episode's software/website should bring some laughter to you and those around you unless they offend easily.
A Sunny Saturday Morning, Let's Record a Show!

Welcome to another fun filled show, this time around we take a look at a cool little email device called the Peek Pronto. It's a great device to receive and send emails. It ties into your existing web based email accounts and it also allows you to send text messages to your peeps on their cell phones. Next, Ray shares a great Twitter story involving UPS and a customer service representative. Also The Chill Mode has it's own Twitter page at twitter.com/thechillmode. Last but not least we download the latest version of Firefox version 3.5 and we test it.
Alone again naturally.

I just got another new toy. It's the Nokia N810 Internet tablet. I had the N800 and now I have it's big brother. It's a pretty cool device when you don't have a laptop or netbook available. Also I talk about the new Palm Pre cellphone which will be released June 6th. As you are aware I have been doing the last few shows on my own. My previous co-hosts have decided not to participate anymore and that's OK. I understand that there have been scheduling problems. I wish them well, next episode I will be introducing a new co-host. Stay tuned! Now for the software/web site tip for this episode.
